Ever thought of becoming a charity trustee?
It was decided not to increase the centre hiring fees this year.
Over the past few months the fencing has been replaced around the car park of the centre and the South & North boundary fencing has been repaired.
A new garden recycling compost area is to be erected near the paddock gate.
The tall trees overhanging the residency in Deringwood Drive have been cut back and additional Trees will be planted at the top of the grass bank, clear of any boundary fence.
Following the resignation of Bobbie the booking secretary, the centre management are dealing with bookings and attempting to streamline the booking system.This part time (paid) vacancy will soon be advertised. The position would suit someone who can work from home with good telephone skills. Some accountancy experience would help but is not necessary.
Signs have been erected at the entrance to the centre overflow car park (next to the medical centre), explaining that this car park is for community centre users only.
Complaints from Maidstone Borough Council that the refuse collectors are finding it difficult to empty The Euro bins on a Tuesday if Centre users park in the bay adjacent to the refuse bin area.
The payphone in the centre foyer has now been disconnected & removed as it was found that this Facility was not being used. |
